Varun Verma, Emma Wollman, Adriana Lita, Boris Korzh, Matthew Shaw, Richard Mirin and Sae Woo Nam Recently we have begun to develop arrays of SNSPDs for applications in astronomy and chemical sensing in the mid-infrared (2 – 11 µm wavelength range). We report on the fabrication and characterization of a 32 x 32 WSi SNSPD array (1024 pixels) with an active area of 1.6 mm x 1.6 mm. The first array tested functioned as designed with a pixel yield of 99.4%. Although this array has not yet been optimized for the mid-infrared, we will show preliminary results demonstrating saturated internal detection efficiency of a single-pixel WSi detector at a wavelength of 10 µm.
