He received a PhD in Physics from the University of Geneva in 2016, specializing in single photon detection with semiconductor- and superconductor-based devices as well as applications in quantum communication. Since 2017, he has been a postgraduate scholar at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, recently taking up a research staff position. His research has focused on reaching the fundamental limits of performance in superconducting nanowire detectors.
